Amazon accused of misleading customers

The Daily Dot reports that the FTC has received a complaint alleging that Amazon Ads are customers by not clearly labeling the ads. When consumers use Amazon the accusation goes onto say Amazon is intentionally allowing customers to be confused about which search results and listing are organic vs which listings are paid ads.

The 45 page complaint details a list of allegations which charge Amazon with a series of systems designed to drive up the pay per click revenues without disclosing clearly that the product listing links are advertisements.
